With many new Star Wars projects announced at Star Wars Celebration and the series like The Mandalorian season 3 wrapping up it seems the old theme of replacing and subverting male characters has reared it’s ugly head again but this time with a twist. Not content with sacrificing the male audience now Kathleen Kennedy has doubled her efforts by making sure that male minority actors get pushed to the sidelines. Whether we are talking about John Boyega Finn, Oscar Isaac Po Dameron, Donald Glover Lando Calrissian, or even Pedro Pascal Din Djarin we see a trend of these characters being supplanted at Lucas film by the likes of Daisy Ridley Rey, Katie Sackhoff Bo Katan, and Felicity Jones Jyn Erso.
