Petzl Harness Gear Loop FAIL

ALL the gear loops on my Petzl Calidris harness failed on one trip.
It's had a long life though, UV and aging and other stuff is not kind to plastic/polymer things. This is not unexpected after this sort of age, so it's NOT a failure of the gear within it's expected and recommended life time.

NOTE: Because it seems I'm going to get endless comments about this:
I know the harness is way passed its official "used by" date, but this is not the least bit uncommon for canyoning.
Canyoning harnesses are for abseiling only, and that means:
a) They do not see any falls
and
b) Are not required to prevent falls.

This harness was not and is not used for climbing.
