The easiest way for me to Discern the heat on a banger to determine the perfect time to drop the Dab is by using my little poem; a warm summers day from about an inch away. The heat should feel like the sun on your skin on a hot summer day when u get ur hand about an inch away. You don't want to push past 540°F as a maximized temp.
The oil should be golden color and spin through the banger, not instantly fry to a charred black state. You shouldn't see white smoke, it should be a somewhat thinned out cloud. Another small tip, for dabs you want to use less water as the water simply acts cool the air temperature of the Dab. With raw cannabis flower there is ALOT of Tar produced, the water filters this tar, and could the pot smoke. In addition in reality the coal of flower burns much hotter than a dab, so more water to both filter the tar and residuals in cannabis flower use.
