World Food Programme says 400,000 people desperately need food assistance in Sudan

The World Food Programme announced in a statement Monday the lift of the organization’s temporary suspension on operations in Sudan as thousands of citizens face severe food insecurity. The WFP had paused their operations in Sudan on April 15 after three of their team members were killed from fighting between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary faction Rapid Support Forces.
