Animal Farm: George Orwell I Is this classic significant in 2023?

Arguably Orwell's classic novella is more significant today in 2023 than it was when it was first published in 1945 / UK and in 1946 / USA.

A sheer masterpiece in political, satirical and allegorical writing. In his essay "Why I Write" (1946), wrote that Animal Farm was the first book in which he tried, with full consciousness of what he was doing, "to fuse political purpose and artistic purpose into one whole"

This video merely dips its toe into the shallow end of an extraordinary piece of literature. Briefly outlining the plot of Animal Farm as well as revealing some the characters.

However, the video will act as a marker for some viewers, not only in a historical sense, i.e. as it pertains to the likes of Marx, Lenin, Stalin and communism but also a possible 'warning marker' for the present.

Orwell's work gives us brilliant insights of not only the past but how to recognise the same emerging patterns strongly influencing all Western countries in todays political arenas, education, arts, media etc.
