Where Did You Learn to Fly - Atari Jaguar Thru A RetroTink5X

Have you ever had a video game system that you wanted but you only really wanted it for a handful of games? That's where the Atari Jaguar has always landed with me. My friend Russ had one when we were in high school, but I have not played one since the 1990s. I've always been on the lookout for one, I almost pulled the trigger on one at the Midwest Gaming Classic in Milwaukee in 2023, but I just couldn't do it. And then, then I met Kevin.

After I posted my Midwest Gaming Classic video (Check that out here: https://youtu.be/0LkUPUxV9To), a fan of the channel named Kevin reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in purchasing his Atari Jaguar. I was interested, but I also didn't want to pay a whole lot for it. He understood where I was coming from, and gave me a heck of a deal. It was one of those things that he wanted to make sure that his Jaguar went to someone who would appreciate it for what it was, not someone who was just looking to flip it and make a quick buck.

The system itself is in immaculate condition, and all the OEM parts are still here. The Atari power supply, power cable, and controller, it's all here. He also had a copy of Cybermorph so I can constantly wonder where I learned to fly.

I connected the system to my RetroTink 5X and turned it on. Nothing. Well... Crap. Then I tried it again. Nothing. I broke out the 1Up cleaning card to clean the game, still nothing. Finally, I applied some contact cleaner to the pins and it worked! That's right, It worked! I am so terrible at this game but I wanted to play it so badly.

Thanks so much to Kevin and his generosity in helping me knock this item off my wish list. He did an amazing job packing it up and getting it sent to me, and he really cut me one heck of a deal. Thank you, my friend, I appreciate it.
