Live from Berlin on Sunday, April 30 as demonstrators hold the 'Take Back the Night' queer-feminist demonstration on St Walpurga’s Eve, also known as Walpurgis Night.

The rally welcomes trans, inter, agender and non-binary people, as well as lesbians and women in particular.

The rally in the Kreuzberg district is expected to cover Mariannenplatz, Kopenicker street to Adalbert street, and Spreewaldplatz to Silesian Gate. Previous years have seen protesters clash with police, although many are calling for a 'Peaceful Walpurgis Night' of campfires and music.

Walpurgis Night itself is the Christian celebration of St Walpurga, an 8th century abbess of Francia, although the day has strong links with the May Day protests in Germany.
