Exploring Brokenness - April 30, 2023

God loves to use our brokenness to take us from thinking, “we are all that” to us saying to Him, “I am all yours!”‬
Notice the title “exploring.” I am inviting all of us today to explore this issue and see what healing we can receive from the great physician.

"There are none righteous, no, not one." Romans 3:10

I. What is brokenness
We are…
A) Broken from our sin nature
B) Broken from our sin choices
C) Broken from being born in sin
D) Broken from others sin choices
E) Broken from circumstances beyond our control

II. The value of Brokenness
A)It is true we are broken
“Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

B)It is the remedy to pride

“Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

C) It is the key to empathy
When we remember our on brokenness we are quick to emphasize with others brokenness
D) It is the key to conflict resolution
E) It is the key to being a soul winner
F) It has been overcome
