SatanCon Marks 10-Year Anniversary with Bible-Ripping Ceremony in Boston

Hundreds of followers from across the country joined members of the Satanic Temple in Boston on April 28, 2023, to kick off the 10-year anniversary of the Satanic convention. During the opening ceremony, attendees chanted "hail Satan!" as MCs ripped up a Bible and a Thin Blue Line flag, and smashed a keyboard with a hammer, symbolically destroying what they see as harmful symbols.

Established in 2013, The Satanic Temple is a federally recognized religious organization that advocates for individual rights and rejects the notion of worshiping a higher power. "We bow to no God or Gods and celebrate our outsider status," said a representative of the organization.

Despite the controversial opening ceremony, the event is set to continue through the weekend with multiple events planned, including talks on Satanic philosophy, workshops on Satanic magic, and live performances. The convention aims to promote awareness and understanding of Satanic culture and values while challenging the stereotypes and misconceptions surrounding it.
