4 long-standing mistakes the U.S. should fix in its China-US policy

Since the spy balloon incident, Sino-US relations have entered a new chapter in which China seems more eager to decouple while the United States is trying to hold hands. With Xi Jinping’s state visit to Russia and China playing an active role in the Ukraine war, Ukraine and Taiwan will dominate Sino-US relations. The United States’ long-standing “strategic ambiguity” and the “one-China” policies are becoming counter-productive. The Biden administration needs to develop a new China policy. Lei offers four suggestions:
