After years of debate, Bill C-11, also known as the Online Streaming Act, is now law. The new legislation requires platforms like Netflix and Spotify to pay to support Canadian content. Minister of Heritage Pablo Rodríguez says a policy directive for the CRTC is imminent which will dictate how the act works.
