US and Philippines conclude their largest ever military exercises

Thousands of US and Philippine troops have been taking part in one of the largest ever military exercises carried out by both countries.

The exercises follow a deal announced earlier this year for US forces to use an increased number of bases in the Philippines, including one near Taiwan.
