I met Pat at a clown show. He was very helpful in taking a newbie to the clown world, under his wing and helping with ideas. Sadly we lost him not long after. I had received permission from him to paint his clown. I contacted his wife Terry, to see if it would still be ok to paint his image and she agreed. He had 5 clown images immortalized here, his Ringing look, his Clown look, his Auguste look, his Crazy Professor look and he was Captain Kangaroo. This was a challenge to paint 5 portraits in one painting and to do it in watercolor to boot. They all still have the sweet twinkle in the eyes which I am sure was his funny bone peaking through. He will be missed.
