Touchscreens will soon be button-based again - researchers have developed Flat Panel Haptics technology, which allows you to create raised buttons on any OLED screen using liquid.

Hidden under the OLED panel are special electric pumps that can inflate or deflate liquid to create convex buttons protruding 1.5 mm. According to the developers, Flat Panel Haptics can be integrated into any existing device.
