The episode opens with the Shelby family receiving a letter from Inspector Campbell, who is in charge of cracking down on their criminal activities. The letter demands that the Peaky Blinders hand over the stolen guns they have in their possession, or face the consequences.
Meanwhile, Thomas Shelby continues his romance with Grace Burgess, a barmaid at the Garrison Pub. He hires her as his secretary, but not everyone in the family is happy about her involvement with their business.
