Can you believe it, I’ve managed to whip up another 2 entries for the #sewaprilblouse challenge!
Another great Sewing Revival blouse, this time the recently released Flounce Top and also the Wardrobe by me Esther blouse, they’ve both turned out great!

I’m also sharing my ANZAC Day and showing some internet sourced pictures of typical ANZAC Day celebrations. I didn’t take any footage or pictures from the dawn service as I feel that would have been disrespectful.
The first part of the day, the Dawn service is held in multiple locations all around the country from the biggest cities to the smallest of country towns. This is followed up by a march of past and present service men and women through the city or town centre, again this is something that happens across the country and also includes past service personnel from other nations who shared combat theatres. The day often ends at a pub or an RSL (Returned Services League) reminiscing over a drink and playing Two up, which is a coin toss gambling game, with ANZAC Day being the only day Two up can be played outside of a casino.
I didn’t go to a march or on to a pub, I came home and got sewing.

Wulpayi Jukurrpa (River Dreaming) by Pamela Napurrurla Walker

The termite Dreaming eventually continued west to Nyirripi, a community approximately 160 km west of Yuendumu. The water Dreaming then travelled from the south over Mikanji, a watercourse with soakages northwest of Yuendumu. At Mikanji, the storm was picked up by a 'kirrkarlanji' (brown falcon [Falco berigora]) and taken farther north. At Puyurru, the falcon dug up a giant 'warnayarra' (rainbow serpent). The serpent carried water with it to create another large lake, Jillyiumpa, close to an outstation in this country. The 'kirda' (owners) of this story are Jangala men and Nangala women. After stopping at Puyurru, the water Dreaming travelled on through other locations including Yalyarilalku, Mikilyparnta, Katalpi, Lungkardajarra, Jirawarnpa, Kamira, Yurrunjuku, and Jikaya before moving on into Gurindji country to the north.
