Why most church going Christians do not have the Holy Spirit?
Ans: It is absolutely necessary for each one of us to receive new life in Jesus Christ. For receiving new life in Jesus Christ it is absolutely necessary to be baptized with Holy Spirit or to receive the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is not optional but mandatory requirement for walking with Jesus Christ. There are two pre-conditions for receiving Holy Spirit baptism - faith and repentance.
Faith is the pre-condition of everything. Faith prompts a person to repent for his sins. After repentance one can receive the Holy Spirit or he can be baptized by Holy Spirit. For receiving Holy Spirit water baptism is not necessary.
