NTSB: Seeking Solutions to Eliminate Distracted Driving - April 28, 2023

Eliminating distracted driving​ is currently on the NTSB’s 2021-2023 Most Wanted List of Transportation Safety Improvements.
The purpose of this event is to focus attention on the human and economic costs of distracted driving, which contributes to more than 3,000 deaths each year in the U.S. and cost $98.2 billion in economic losses in 2019. Morning sessions feature discussions about recent NDDC reports examining distracted driving prevalence and available technological interventions. Panelists will discuss the next research steps to help the audience gain a better understanding of these technologies and how they work.
