Cats eating food

Why do cats always act as though eating their food is a favor to you? They appear to be thanking the peasant for serving
them this delicious dish. I suppose I'll give in and eat it. After taking a bite, they ask, "Is this the best you can
do?" as they look up at you. I demand better food, you human beings!" Naturally, if you try to give them something
different, they will just reject it and return to their original meal. Oh, the pleasures of serving cats.
