Abstracts from the Mississauga City Council’s Debate on Cannabis Retail Licensing

On April 19, 2023, the Mississauga City Council rammed a vote through to allow retail cannabis stores to operate in the City of Mississauga. The meeting lasted for hours but this is a highlight of the key arguments made. Many of the businesses and cannabis advocates who influenced the decision were not even Mississauga residents.
