🇮🇳 Militant attack in southern India

Last Wednesday, in the southern Indian state of Chhattisgarh, a group of Maoist Naxalites attacked a convoy of local law enforcement officers, killing ten people.

During the return of the security forces from the site of one of the counter-terrorist operations, the radicals blew up their vehicle with an improvised explosive device.

Naxalites are Indian religious fanatics who promote their own version of Maoism and advocate the liberation of peasants from capitalist oppression.

At the moment, the Indian authorities consider this group as one of the main internal threats to the country's security. In this regard, law enforcement officers regularly conduct counter-terrorism operations against the Naxalite Maoists.
