In season 1 episode 2 of Peaky Blinders, titled "Episode 2," Thomas Shelby and his gang of Peaky Blinders continue to run their illegal bookmaking operation in Birmingham in 1919.

Meanwhile, Chief Inspector Campbell (played by Sam Neill) arrives in town from Belfast to investigate a missing consignment of weapons that the Peaky Blinders may have stolen. Campbell is determined to bring the gang to justice and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.
