Argentina has announced that it will start paying for Chinese imports in yuan instead of dollars to ease the outflow of dollars, relieve dwindling dollar reserves and boost international reserves. This decision comes after Argentina expanded its currency swap with China by $5 billion in November last year, and in April, it aims to pay around $1 billion of Chinese imports in yuan.
