Canada: Defence Minister Anita Anand on helicopter upgrades, first Canadian evacuation flight from Sudan - April 27, 2023

In Enfield, Nova Scotia, Defence Minister Anita Anand announces that IMP Aerospace has received a sub-contract for the upgrade of Canada’s CH-149 Cormorant fleet of helicopters. Anand also announces that the first Canadian evacuation flight of diplomats and citizens has left Sudan amid the ongoing conflict in the East African country. She is joined at the news conference at the IMP Aerospace & Defence facility by David Gossen (president, IMP Aerospace & Defence), Dominic Howe (head of international campaigns America and Canada, Leonardo Helicopters) and Kody Blois (Liberal MP, Kings-Hants).
