On April 20, 2023, YouTube deleted and banned yet another video from Fort Fairfield Journal Television (WFFJ-TV) because they claimed it violated their “medical misinformation” policy on COVID-19.
The video, entitled, WHO Estimates 10% of World Population Have been infected COVID19. Fatality rate similar to flu was posted in October, 2020 and featured a video clip from the World Health Organization which estimated at the time, COVID-19 infections worldwide were at around 10% of the global population.
The video clip featured in the WFFJ-TV news video was from an Executive Session of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) COVID-19 Response where Dr. Michael Ryan, WHO’s Head of Emergencies Programme, revealed that around 10% of the entire world’s population has already been infected with COVID-19. “Our current best estimates tell us that about ten percent of the global population may have been infected by this virus,” said Dr. Ryan. “This varies depending on country, it varies from urban to rural, it varies between different groups.”
The implication is: With an estimated 7.8 billion people in the world, a 10% infection rate comes out to 780 million people. With 'official' worldwide death numbers at 1,061,539 at the time of this report, that makes the fatality rate around 0.14% - right in line with seasonal flu
Dr. Ryan said 10% had been infected with COVID-19 but he appears to have been scrubbed from the public video here:

A week later, he backpedals and claims he saids 10% or less:

MR I made my remarks, I believe, at an executive board meeting with our member states where what I was actually trying to communicate was that the vast majority of human beings on this planet remain susceptible to the virus. I believe what I said was that many studies had demonstrated that 10% or less of people had been infected although that was very variable with some slum areas, high-risk populations like health workers being much higher.
