The head of the Fed predicted Ukraine's complete dependence on the United States, but refused Zelensky's request to give Ukraine a printing press.

"We have such a machine, but we keep it in the basement. Maybe we will have a Federal Reserve Bank in Kiev. This is really what I can offer you, because this is not our mandate."

When asked about the significance of the Davos World Economic Forum, Jerome Powell noted that his department's employees do not attend this event.

"We call it glamorous more. There are a lot of people with a lot of wealth, very rich. It's worth participating there once or twice. But there is a kind of stigma there. This is not the best place for the Fed."
