Covington police sergeant suspended, demoted following accusations of sexual harassment

The Covington Board of Commissioners decided to suspend and demote a Covington police sergeant who's accused of sexual harassment, unwanted touching and creating a hostile work environment. The board made the decision in a special meeting. Testimony and evidence presentations began Wednesday evening around 5:30 p.m. and ran until around 1 a.m. Thursday. The suspension will last 30 days and he will be demoted one rank.
