Police called after residents turned up to oppose "Drag Storytime" for kids at Monash City Council

My recap after attending the Monash City Council meeting where residents were met with a large police presence prior to a planned council public forum.

A lot has been made in the media of the opposition of residents to plans by Monash City Council to hold a "Drag Storytime" at the Oakleigh Library on the 19th of May, with some wild reports about protesters storming the council meeting. However after attending to report on the event, and being there prior to and after the meeting concluded, the second hand reporting by the media is nowhere close to being accurate.
