The 1958 edition of the Encyclopedia Britannica clearly states that Antarctica has a dome at 13,000 feet. The article goes on to say that the dome is made of ice and is about 500 miles in diameter. It is interesting to note that this information was published more than 50 years ago and scientists are still unsure if this feature exists or not.
