Military Spouse Turned Real Estate CEO: A Conversation with Nadia Anac

In this episode of the Freedom Chasers Six Figure Strategies Podcast, Nadia Anac, the CEO of First Class Real Estate Gulf To Bay in Tampa, Florida, shared her inspiring journey of how she got started in the real estate industry and eventually opened her own brokerage.
Nadia's journey began when she was pregnant with her second child and decided to get her real estate license. She hung her license with a brokerage that was close to her house and offered a lot of education, which she appreciated as someone who had gone through law school. However, she struggled to make her first sale as she didn't know anyone in the industry.

To overcome this challenge, Nadia started calling for sale by owners every single day. She had a list of people to call and a script to use, so it was very systematic. She knew that if she made 25 phone calls, she would be lucky if five people picked up, and she would probably get to see four of those five people. Eventually, she would be able to list half of the one or two people she got to see, and that's how she got started in real estate.

After five years in Virginia, Nadia moved to Tampa and joined a team at a big national brokerage, but it wasn't the right fit for her. When First Class Real Estate opened an office in Florida, she jumped at the opportunity to join them as an agent. About a year later, she decided to open her own brokerage.

Nadia's courage to purchase a first-class brokerage and start growing it early in her career came from COVID. It made her realize that she didn't have a business, she just had a flexible job. She wanted to multiply herself by building a team or a brokerage so that she could have "little Nadias" running around selling properties when she couldn't. She attended a meeting of franchise owners for First Class Real Estate that was taking place in Orlando in December of 2020, where she was given step-by-step instructions on how to build a team and bring on agents. She spent her Christmas break interviewing agents and opened the brokerage in July of 2020 with 15 agents. They have since grown to around 30 agents.

Managing people, personalities, and egos has been challenging for Nadia, but it has also been rewarding to see her agents succeed and to teach them how to do things faster than she did. She mentions that she still gives and receives referrals from her agents and keeps in touch with her Virginia clients through Facebook and her CRM.

Throughout the podcast episode, Nadia emphasized the importance of networking and building relationships with other agents in the industry. Her journey shows that with perseverance, hard work, and the right guidance, anyone can achieve success in the real estate industry.
