Louisiana State House of Representatives Health & Welfare (H&W) committee review of HB 372

HB372 seeks to protect the citizens of Louisiana from federal governmental organization (CDC) and international organization (WHO) overreach by enacting legislation that adheres to the 10th amendment of the US Constitution.
Under the 10th amendment neither the federal government nor any international organization shall have authority to command this state to enforce or implement any federal or international regulatory program.

During this initial hearing advocates for the bill were not afforded the opportunity to speak.

A representative from the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) did express opposition to the bill based solely on a prior version. The bill as presented at this hearing DOES NOT impact ANY funds LDH receives from the federal government.

The bill has been rescheduled for another H&W committee hearing on Wednesday May 3,2023
