The Statue of Liberty replica on the Seine River in Paris is a 11.5 meters tall replica of the original American statue. It was installed on the Île aux Cygnes to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. Initially designed as a monument to Egyptian progress, it was reworked by the sculptor Frédéric Bartholdi to resemble the Statue of Liberty. The statue faces westward towards its larger sibling in New York Harbor and remains a popular tourist attraction and a symbol of the strong ties between France and the United States.
