The Can Down the Road

If we keep kicking the can down the road we may end up falling on our asses. A little butt-hurt is always a good waker-upper though! Here I am making an account for my “mystical ways”. I wish it didn’t require this! Just think of how much bliss we could all have if we just accepted that Jesus has already accomplished everything for us! We could actually hold hands and sing “Kumbaya”! We could run and romp in the breadths of our heavenly heritage without a care in the world! But as it stands so many Christians are still unsure of how done is done when Jesus says, “It is finished!” It’s a trick of religion to move these heavenly realities beyond arms length to some vague point in the future. God doesn’t use a carrot on a stick to ensure compliance and endurance. That’s the devil’s job! If we’d stop impugning God with that kind of austerity maybe we would pop a little more joy! As it stands God’s presence is not bound by time and it much nearer than most of us are comfortable with. It’s not “back then”. It’s not “to come”. The sooner we embrace the witness of the Holy Ghost for ourselves the sooner we’ll start enjoying the presence of Jesus NOW - and all the wonderful things that entails to boot!

“…we are his witnesses of these things; and SO IS also the Holy Ghost” - Acts 5:32 KJV.

“(God) hath raised us up TOGETHER, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” - Ephesians 5:32 KJV.

“Therefore, since you HAVE BEEN raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God” - Colossians 3:1 BSB.

“…lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven - For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” - Matthew 6:20&21 ESV.

“Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules” - Colossians 2:20 NIV.

“…our old self WAS CRUCIFIED with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin” - Romans 6:6 NASB.

“That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we did behold, and our hands did handle, concerning the Word of the Life - and the Life was manifested, and we have seen, and do testify, and declare (Him) to you” - 1 John 1:1&2 YLT.

“Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” - John 20:29 NIV.
