According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), three of their officers were injured on Tuesday in an unexpected attack by a passenger at a security checkpoint in Phoenix’s airport.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m. at a checkpoint in Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport while the female passenger was undergoing the security screening process, as stated in a release by the agency.

The TSA condemned the assault as an unprovoked and audacious physical attack against their employees, emphasizing that such behavior is unacceptable, Yahoo News reported.
