The Black Zero Event, also known as the Battle of Metropolis, was a conflict that occurred between the Sword of Rao, led by General Dru-Zod, and the U.S. military, who were backed by Superman. After a lengthy battle, all but one member of the Sword of Rao were sent to the Phantom Zone, along with several humans.
