How Do! Make A Cab View / Caboose View Camera Car
This is the first video in what I plan to be a series of videos called “How Do”. These videos show how I completed small projects on my layout that I think others may be interested in. I do not consider myself and expert on anything, so the name How Do implies this is one way you can do it. These videos are heavily influenced by ease of effort and minimal cost, and I hope provide inspiration and encouragement for some of you.
This particular video is making a camera car. By now, most of you have seen cab view videos on HO scale or larger layouts. It is a cool perspective from which to view a model railroad. But when I started researching, information was hard to find. So I’m sharing what I learned.
This video is a little short on action. I wanted to be brief but thorough. I think I met the thorough goal at the expense of being brief. The first sixteen minutes are about building the car and will be of interest to people wanting to do this project. Around the sixteen-minute mark the train ride videos start. I won’t be offended if you jump to that mark in the video.
In the video, I said I’d provide the bill of material. That is listed at the bottom of this description.
For more information about my layout and the real Peavine, please visit my web site at http://www.dlamb15.com/wo .
For more videos, please visit http://www.rumble.com and search for the “Western Ohio Railway”.
And for some behind the scenes information, search for the “Western Ohio Railway” on facebook.
