Park Beer is Wunderbar ! Memories of Ramstein , Germany #shorts

Parkbrau was the name of the beer we drank when I was in the Army stationed at Ramstein Air Force Base , West Germany . It was made in Pirmasens . They had several different blends to choose from , Export , Pils , Weizenbier , and Pirminator . When you bought it on base , it was mostly offered in Export which had a little stronger taste than the Pils . The Pils went down a little smoother and I would buy at the bars or gasthaus in the towns of Ramstein Village , Landstuhl , Vogelweh , and Kaiserslauthern .Show more

The Pirminator only came out a couple months a year and was called the Christmas Beer .
It was the strongest beer by alcohol content and strongest in taste and darkness too . It was the one we would give the new guys that would come in and say they could drink a case of beer in the states and we would say okay drink 2 of these . Ha ha . I would get on every once in a while and it tasted so strong I would get a Pils just to use like a chaser . The Weissbier I rarely saw and think I only had once . I was never really a Hefeweizen kind of drinker . It was cool watching the beer bubble up in the glass continuously , but I didn't care for beer .

Parkbrau is now just called Park Beer or Park Bier in Germany . It now makes 13 different flavors ! I would love to try them all , but unfortunately they don't export to the United States . Even as a large brewery with tons of fans , they stick to the German Purity Law which is now preservatives , so it can't be imported into the U.S. It is loved by so many that were stationed in the area and now has a new location . Luckily I have a friend that goes to Germany every year and brings back some and occasionally gets one to me . This was a couple years ago and I just received an Export which I will be doing a video of that one . I haven't had the Export since 1989 .
