Morning Reads: 1Peter 5:5-14; Luke 10:16-21; & Psalm 18(19)- “I Saw Satan Fall like Lightning…”

Revelation 5:5

But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose[fn] its seven seals.”

Submit to God, Resist the Devil

1Peter 5 also teaches Suffering as a Church

vv. 5-7: speaks of having humility which is the foundation of virtue. It's something that is learned through both submission and obedience to GODLY ELDERS, when we submit to one another, we HUMBLE ourselves UNDER THE MIGHTY HAND OF GOD (other sources, 1TH 5:12-13; Hebrews 13:7, 17)

vv. 8-9- talks about how Satan and his angels explore us individually, so we are to be sober minded, having self control and be soldiers in Christ.

Luke 10:16-21

v.18- I SAW SATAN FALL is probably describing an event unfolding before the creation of the world. Five times Satan sets his Will against God ( other sources Isaiah 14:12-15; Revelation 12:7-12).

v. 21: BABES: Are people of simple faith and have open hearts (other source Luke 18:15-17).

Reveals God the Word becoming Man
