Federal Transport Minister Omar Alghabra holds a news conference on Parliament Hill to outline new provisions to strengthen the air passenger rights regime. The proposed amendments were tabled as part of the recent budget implementation bill. They aim to improve the complaints processes for travellers and ensure mandatory compensation for travel disruptions unless the cancellation is outside of the airline's control, among other measures.
