At a news conference on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Marco D’Angelo, the president of the Canadian Urban Transit Association, issues recommendations aimed at addressing violence on public transit systems. The recommendations come in the wake of a number of high-profile violent crimes committed on public transit systems across Canada in recent months.
