FDA says its safe for dogs to join outdoor dining

In a new update to the 2022 FDA Food Code, the Food and Drug Administration has okayed dogs to join their owners at restaurants with outdoor dining. The new guidance still gives states and restaurants the option to prohibit dogs if they choose. If a restaurant permits owners to dine with their dogs, the establishment cannot discriminate based on breed.
