In the highly anticipated lightweight unification bout, Gervonta "Tank" Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) defeated Ryan Garcia (23-1, 19 KOs) by seventh-round TKO on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The fight was close in the early rounds, with both fighters landing some good shots. However, Davis began to take control in the middle rounds, landing a number of hard punches that had Garcia in trouble. In the seventh round, Davis landed a devastating body shot that put Garcia down. Garcia was able to get back to his feet, but the referee stopped the fight at 2:39 of the round.
