Jesus said that we would be persecuted for righteousness sake and on account of faith in Him. In the same way, Paul states that all who desire to live godly in Christ will suffer. The enemy tries to deceive us to believe that the sacrifice of Christ was not comprehensive. Many unknowingly think that they are suffering in Christ instead of recognizing the tricks and snares of the enemy. Jesus died so that you can be free!
