Does the hidden job market really exist?

Or is it some mythical land of opportunity that's out of grasp for the regular person? 🦄

The hidden job market is simply jobs that are not publically promoted or posted. Some reports estimate that up to 70% of all jobs are not publicly available.

I can't vouch for this number (it seems a bit high to me), but I can verify that there are jobs that recruiters post that are not promoted.

These roles are still generally filled by someone outside of the company, but the recruiter finds THEM. And these jobs are generally pretty high quality.

So it's worth figuring out how to access this hidden job market and learn how to get the recruiter to start discovering you rather than hoping to get noticed with your job application.
