What if this world is a world where immortals come to take a break from the tedium of immortality?

It’s tempting to say ‘why would a god need to take a break?’ Well that’s your definition and your projection of what YOU think a god is supposed to be-and then you expect god/consciousness to fit your definition of how it/she/they/their are supposed to be.
