Oak Hill Church of Christ preaching minister, Randy Sterling, delivers a message on the importance of learning to welcome God and His guidance into our lives.

Gloves are purpose-built tools, they make work easier, safer, and at times, even make work possible that otherwise might not be. Gloves allow for stronger grip, and allow grip on objects that otherwise might be dangerous, whether too sharp, or too hot.

The first thing that God tells us about Himself all the way back in Genesis is that He loves to create. (Genesis 1:1) He calls Himself the "potter" as one who shapes a creation with both artistry and purpose. (Romans 9:21) God also says that He indwells those Christians who follow Him and His son, Jesus. (I Corinthians 6:19)

Just as John says of Jesus that Jesus the Son was the creative force behind God's will in the beginning (John 1:1), the Christian can be the creative force of God's will on Earth today. We can be the glove, indwelt by God's creative hand, which provides a Kingdom of Heaven on Earth today.

Christians should work toward being open to God's indwelling, and his creative force. We should be willing to listen to our Creator who is seeking to create even greater things through us, as Jesus said "you will see even greater things than these." (John 1:50).
