A golf cart laden with furniture is a promising sign...it takes a minute to find the first sale, but wow! Fire polished Fostoria and hand painted Metlox appear for $1/each...an old Elk's Lodge patch and an old K-Mart shirt...lapis jewelry for $5 and an interesting Pre-Prohibition beer bottle find their way from porches, carports and one impromptu estate/moving sale to the van.

Valuable lessons come next! One seller misunderstands how to use Google Lens correctly, overpricing the obvious marked pieces while overlooking the huge Blendo tumbler set we score for $10. Another seller has some fun vintage childhood items, painted brass from India and a vibrant red toleware tray...and follows it down a Google Lens rabbit hole without reaching a conclusion! Sellers should know what they have and what they want for it before they put it out to sell, in my book...

In the end, we have a lot of fun, see a surprising variety of vintage and antique stuff, and get just what we were meant to have...at thrift store prices, where profit is inevitable with under $50 spent! And we didn't need Google Lens to do it.
