Biden lauds “Tennessee Three” state representatives during Oval Office meeting

The three Tennessee State representatives who faced expulsion a few weeks ago for leading a gun reform protest on the chamber’s floors were welcomed to the White House by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on Monday. Biden said it was an honor to have Justin Jones, Justin Pearson, and Gloria Johnson at the White House and praised the three representatives for standing up for “democratic values.” After public remarks with the press, Biden and the representatives held a closed meeting to discuss strategies to pass gun control legislation.
