Biographical information on Audience of Rain from their website (https://www.artistecard.com/audienceofrain)
With its inception in 2012, Audience of Rain was born. Featuring the talents of Alex Kornas (drums), Matt Snider (guitar), Cody Griffin (vocals), and a rotation of bassists, the group was off and running at a fast pace. Inspired by the bands they listened to growing up such as Metallica, Bullet For My Valentine, and Avenged Sevenfold, among others, they sought out a dream that has turned into a reality. Their first release, “Road to Recovery EP” (2012), was a huge hit, with their EP Release Show selling out to a local crowd at the Rialto Theatre. However, a turning point for the band is when they were direct support for hard rock mainstay 10 Years, and performed for a wall-to-wall crowd at The Musica in their hometown of Akron, Ohio. With that, a chain reaction lead to many more opportunities, including performing at the inaugural Ink In The Clink Festival (now known as Inkarcertation Festival) at the notorious Ohio State Reformatory. Later that year, Gabby Hawk joined the band as their regular bassist, and the direction of the band was finally solidified. In February of 2018, Audience of Rain decided to add a rhythm guitarist by the name of Ryan Katz (Akuma, Harquebus, others). This provided an immense amount of structure and drive that the band was missing, and helped steer things in one solid direction. With his addition, the band’s sound also became heavier, and a hybrid of Hard Rock and Metal that the world had never seen, was created. Entering the Central 8 Studios in November of 2018, their first full-length release was born. “Storm of The Century”, an eclectic combination of hard rock vocals, down-tuned guitars, aggressive drumming, and even splashes of metalcore, had been everything the band had set out to make to this point. Released on March 22nd, 2018, with its highly-anticipated single “Above & Below”, the album has already caught the masses attention, and even more, some very prominent record labels and promotional companies. The future is bright for Audience of Rain, and you don’t want to miss being a part of it
