All I knew about Canada Geese is that a few months ago, when a wildlife friend of mine tried to handle one, the goose broke her fingers and so I was definitely worried about doing that because I just can't afford downtime with an injury... this past month has been so crazy busy!

Just minutes before deciding on a method to do this rescue, I called my friend, but she didn't pick up. I searched on #Google how to do this, and I knew I have the speed to get it done! This may seem a little violent, but the alternative for her was a horribly painful death! 😰

Working together with Judith Sanchez, we managed to get her, keep her safe, treat her, and release her back into the wild.

I know many people enjoy fishing and I just ask that you will make sure to never leave hooks and fishing lines behind AND, if you see fishing hooks or fishing lines out on the beach or in a lake, please pick it up and dispose of it properly so innocent animals wouldn't get hurt. Throwing it in the trash is not a good solution because it will end up in a landfill and kill other birds and mammals.

A quick Google search shared a few ideas and I would LOVE to learn from you about other methods: https://castandkayak.com/how-dispose-of-fish-hooks/

Please be a HERO to these animals and help us save more with a small recurring donation here: https://www.HopeForPaws.org

In the past 2 days we rescued 12 animals - 10 dogs and 2 kittens... it's super busy here and super expensive. Please join our #HopeForPaws team as a member.

Thank you so much! ❤️🍁🤍
